We’re back! I guess I’ll start with a brief life update on the family. We have settled in a house with a pool in Central Florida since we landed here near Keith’s parents. The girls and I did Florida Virtual School for the fall and then went back to in-person in January. It was a big transition after almost 2 years out of in-person school, but Anna will be starting 2nd grade and Elsa will be starting 4th this fall. So big. My job search is ongoing, but I am hoping for something next fall. I’ve learned a lot about applying and interviews so hopefully, that will come in handy in the new application season. Keith is doing about the same…. pretty awesome. And that’s it! You are all caught up.
This summer we have an end point destination of Lakeside Campground in Gunnison, CO, and today we are all packed up and headed to Forsythe KOA in Georgia about 350 miles. Our friends Kim and Ryan and their kids from last summer invited us. We will have a campsite right next to theirs for 8 nights, but we have 6 days to get there before our reservation begins. So…that is why we are breaking the 3, 3, 3 (or 2, 2, 2) rule (300 miles, arriving before 3:00 pm, 3 nights). We were never really good at following it anyway…it’s more of a guideline. We are going to be doing more like a 350-mile, 3-4 pm arrival, 1-night scenario all the way to CO, then we can relax and take our time on the way back. Ideas about where we should stop on our way to FL from CO are welcome!
