Two drive days in a row is difficult. We are working on slowing down a little bit. So today Keith worked while we made pancakes, the girls found some friends on our campsite loop and I got a chance to mark out a path to Florida and research some school registration for the girls. We hung around the campsite until after lunch and then headed to the beach. We lazed on the beach until the girls were hungry and came back to Goat Dog who pooped in the camper (just like home *sigh*). We spent the rest of the night making a fire, grilling chicken, and making S’mores. After dinner the girls played with their new friends a little (they were leaving the next day).
Things we did:
- Made pancakes
- Watched cartoons
- Played with our new friends
- Rode bikes
- Went on walks
- Took the dogs on walks
- Played with our new friends kid camera (Anna wants one for her birthday, I think both girls do)
- Went to the beach
- Went swimming
- Saw a bald eagle swooping around, sitting on a tree, until he finally bagged a fish and flew off
- Stopped by the marina to check out the boat rental prices
- Made grilled BBQ chicken breasts, corn on the cob, and 90-sec brown rice (best way to make rice in the camper)
- Made S’mores—we are learning everyone’s smore preference: I like the traditional, Keith likes just marshmellow and graham cracker, Anna likes a deconstructed smore, and Elsa likes just the marshmellow with chocolate chips melting inside

Anna’s drawing is priceless. We’ve all been there, on both sides.
