This one-night stand was pretty painless. I really enjoyed my morning work-out to the windy sunrise with the baby Western Kingbirds in the tree right outside our camper. It was 50 degrees, so I had to wear a flannel and hoodie for the first part and I kept getting distracted and taking pictures of the mommy bird coming back to feed her babies and golden light on the wheat field next to me.
A little more info on my workouts—cuz I know you are so interested – or skip if you’re not interested because that’s ok too! I started using Natasha Oceane’s (I believe she is actually a UK fitness influencer) HITT workouts during Covid Summer—she has some free ones on youtube. This summer I was looking for something more guided and that I could do anywhere to get different exercises each day. I like her use of Pilates, floorwork, and functional exercises that supplement a dance practice. So about 7 weeks ago (because I’m finishing week 7 now in the training program), I bought her the No Props program emphasizing nutrition and building muscle. It comes with a nutritional pamphlet that really outlines diet and emphasizes sustainability and working out how you want/can. It also comes with an app to track your workouts including an outline of each day, a video of each exercise, recommended reps or times, and a big finish button for the satisfaction of completing your quest. It wasn’t that much $$, I think it was only like $30 for 10 weeks of workouts which includes 2 days of 50-minute full-body, 1 day 50minute arms/abs, 1 day 50-minute legs, and 1 day 15-minute HITT. So if you do them all…50 workouts. I’ve added some extra break days here and there and am just trying to do what I can and am really feeling stronger and more emotionally balanced. So that is what I do each morning (save the 2 break days a week or so) on the ground, picnic table, or like today on our rug we put out. I set up my coffee the night before and hang my workout clothes next to my bed (I wear the same ones every day and if they get disgusting before we do our laundry, I just wash them in the sink and hang them to dry. It has been pretty cool in the mornings so I’m not sweating profusely or anything. I grab my coffee, water, yoga mat, and phone and head outside. I put a towel by my mat if it’s dewy and am on grass to wipe my feet and then just go for it. I’m the only one working out in the RV Park, but I just wave and smile if people walk by.
Things we did:
- Saw an antelope
- Saw a deer
- Saw cows
- Saw windmill farms
- Saw more Grain Elevators and finally looked them up – (After reading the linked article, I couldn’t resist a scavenger hunt of these unique and historical structures!)
- Tiny rows of crops that look like they are shimmering when you drive by
- Montana is beautiful ya’ll: rolling hills, cliffs, creeks, little farms, cows, animals
- The girls fell asleep in the car – they always do it about 20 minutes before we get to where we are going. *sigh*
What happened to the nose of the princess Elsa(not sure)????
I think that is Anna (the younger sister) ? but…I forgot to write about that!! So sad looking!! She and Ruby went down the slide together and bonked heads! 🙁 It wasn’t a long bleed, but she had blood all over her hands too and didn’t know it til I pulled her aside. ?
i too would like to know about the nose incident.
Also, thanks for explaining your workout routine (I read every word, once again in awe)–YOU LOOK FANTASTIC. Evidence: bathing suit photo. haha.
