Finally getting our “land-legs” we are packed up and out of Alberta-Lea, MN by 10 am, even after a trip to the dump station. We are still figuring out the sensor on our No Boundaries as she is constantly telling us she is almost full when no one has peed in her. I think she has gotten a good flush now and is cleaning with “Happy Camper” (which is the name of the cleaning product that swishes her bowels as we travel). TMI? You’re welcome.
After arriving we realize that the campground is more of a parking lot. FUN! However, the bathrooms were super clean, new, and air-conditioned (I forgot to take a picture *sigh*) so we utilized that to its fullest. Being paved the girls really enjoyed riding their bikes around. After arriving we headed straight for Falls Park in Sioux Falls which was beautiful and hot—Not a lot of trees but toward the end, we were happy to get a big cloud and baby ducks. That night we used our grill for the first time to success with a potato grill pack and sausages and walked to the playground in the much nicer, more shaded, probably older, and more coveted side of the RV park. This was our first outing after a drive and it felt great!
Things we did:
- Saw the falls in Big Sioux River at Falls Park
- Elsa and Anna picked flowers and Elsa identified some of hers as Lupins (she learned this with Nonnie)
- Used our new water shoes to get muck on them and then get grossed out and whine for a good 10 mins about our feet being wet (Anna).
- Got gas, went to Walgreens
- Used our grill on the camper for the first time
- Layed out our probably too big mat for the first time
- Used Keith’s very important table for the first time
- Tara had her first car meeting with UCCAkron! Wifi on the way!
- Walked to the dog and playground parks on the other side of the campground and realized this side of the campground probably came first (more trees/less parking lot), but our bathrooms were newer and nicer…so not all bad.
Make sure to wait for the pix to load and see the captions below them:
I finally figured out the Anna
(and Elsa) thing. :)) but who’s who?
Haha! I think I explain it in the About Us section? Elsa is older…so that is your clue
My two little friends look so good on the picture in Sioux Falls. So nice to see them. Bonjour from Francoise from France.
Yay! Thank you! Bonjour!!
Please say hello to Elsa and Anna for us ?
